We are thrilled to welcome Project Glimmer’s newest board member, Nishika de Rosairo, CEO and founder of HumanQ. Nishika brings a wealth of expertise and passion to our cause, and we are excited to bring her magic to the organization. She firmly believes in collaboration, community, and coaching—three key pillars of Project Glimmer’s mission to empower girls. Keep reading to learn more about Nishika’s magic and what fashion trend she wishes would make a comeback!

Project Glimmer: How did you learn about Project Glimmer, and what excites you about joining the Board?

Nishika: I learned about Project Glimmer from one of our customers at HumanQ, and since I have been deeply involved in elevating women and supporting women's empowerment throughout my career, Project Glimmer seemed like the perfect opportunity to make an impact on younger generations, working with girls to help coach and inspire them to become their best selves.

Project Glimmer: Who was your role model growing up? And why is it important for girls to have role models?

Nishika: My greatest role models growing up were my mother, my grandmother, and my grand aunts. They all had this confidence and soft power within them that made me understand that anything was possible. Role models are so critical from a young age for us to see our futures and the possibilities that lie ahead in our lives through the lives of others we feel we can relate to.

Project Glimmer: Can you share how you founded HumanQ (innovative group coaching aimed at unlocking human potential!) and how you navigated through any obstacles?

Nishika: Founding HumanQ was me taking a chance on myself. Just like any project any of us would embark on, it started with an idea, followed by lots of research, and then just giving it a go. The idea expanded once I took those first steps forward, and the dream grew. Of course, as any project (or new venture) would go, there were tons of mistakes, failures, and obstacles along the way. But of course, when you believe in the power and purpose behind what you’re doing, at every obstacle, you pick yourself right up and keep pushing forward because sometimes the idea becomes even bigger than yourself.

Project Glimmer: What’s on your current reading list? Favorite book and why?

Nishika: Right now, my reading efforts are focused on longevity and overall human health. I am delving deep into what it truly means to live our best lives and unlock our full potential. One book I love is Relentless by Tim Grover. It’s a great reminder of what we are all capable of.

Project Glimmer: What is one fashion trend you wish were back?

Nishika:  I wish the fabulous harem pants would come back. They made a comeback ever-so-slightly a few years ago, but I want to see them everywhere and on every woman. There’s just something very magical about the silhouette of those pants.

Thank you for joining us, Nishika! We’re looking forward to having you at the Project Glimmer table!
