Project Glimmer would like to highlight one of our board members, Chelsea Ialeggio, this month. She is the Vice President of Sales at Aalto Inc., a direct real estate company, and has been a Project Glimmer Board Member since 2020. She lives in Mill Valley, CA with her husband, daughter, and dog Rocco and enjoys cooking and traveling. Chelsea’s magic is connecting great groups of people and creating strong culture. We spoke with Chelsea and asked her a few questions.

What aspect of Project Glimmer inspires you the most and why?

Developing a girls self-worth and confidence at a young age is not only empowering, but life changing across all aspects of their life. Seeing the impact that Project Glimmer has had on the lives of so many girls has truly touched my life. The impact on their lives and the other lives they touch along their path is incredibly inspirational.

Can you share about your role and why you love your job?

I love building companies and teams. I am blessed to currently work with an amazing group of people that is focused on democratizing real estate and building a direct real estate marketplace. I am constantly inspired by our leadership team and the customers we serve.

What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?

I started my career in finance and pivoted after a decade into real estate. After two decades in real estate, I pivoted again and went to work at a startup. Both changes were very scary but have been extremely rewarding in many ways. I am proud of myself for taking a leap of faith at the pinnacle of each career into unknown territory.

What’s one thing you’re learning now, and why is it important?

Don't expect more from people than they are able to give. We often project our own capabilities and expectations onto others. I am grateful for what people bring into my life, but letting go of expectations has had a positive impact at this stage of my life.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?

Time blocking and accounting for every minute of my day in advance. I try to plan my week out so I have control of my schedule. It makes the unexpected changes easier to navigate and I like being able to see what I accomplished each day - it motivates me for the next day!

We are glad to have Chelsea and all of our Board Members, whose varying expertises offer new perspectives and insights that expand the reach of Project Glimmer’s mission. Anyone can help Project Glimmer by partnering with us, volunteering, or shopping our partners.
