Meet Our Volunteer Student Ambassadors!

In honor of April being Volunteer Month, Project Glimmer would like to celebrate our amazing student volunteers in our Ambassador Program! Our Student Ambassador Program focuses on creating a network of girls across the nation to raise awareness of Project Glimmer and carry out our mission to inspire every girl to envision their own empowered future.
Shayna Guardamano
I’m a 12th grade student from Sacramento, CA. I chose to be an ambassador because I want to inspire and empower girls across the nation and advocate for Project Glimmer’s missions and goals. A fun fact about me is that scrapbooking is my favorite hobby.
Martina Meyerfreund
I am sophomore at Palo Alto High. I joined Project Glimmer a few seasons ago because I love taking part in activities like boxing joys, which I know will put a smile on other girls faces. One fun fact about me is that I speak Portuguese!
Caitlin Phillips
I am in grade 10 in Los Altos. I do cheer, track and tennis. I also love to volunteer with my friends and family during my free time. I chose to be an ambassador because I love Project Glimmer’s message and I would love to be a part of it. A fun fact about me is that I was a competitive dancer for 10 years.
Natasha Strauss
I’m a sophomore at Palo Alto High School. I joined the Project Glimmer ambassador program to bring joy and empowerment to girls across the nation. A fun fact about me is that I love working with kids, and I help out at a local preschool!
“Being an ambassador has given me the chance to participate in boxing joys which donate gifts to girls all over the country. I was able to donate over 1,100+ gifts with the help of student volunteers. I am working on another Boxing Joy Event at my school as well as other fundraisers to spread Project Glimmer’s message of empowerment to girls everywhere.”

Project Glimmer’s Student Ambassador Program is a great way to volunteer and earn service hours as well as include on your resume or college application. The program will be accepting applications later this summer for our fall session!
Anyone can volunteer with Project Glimmer! Donate your time through our in person Warehouse Volunteer Events, Boxing Joy From Home Program, and Fundraising.
