Lisa Broock is an award-winning media executive with over 15 years of experience in broadcast, print and digital content creation, corporate communications and political strategy.
Most recently, Lisa was Managing Editor of Us Weekly, where she oversaw editorial operations and integrated print and digital resources for the preeminent celebrity news magazine read by 12 million people. In 2012, Lisa helped launch the Us iPad app. Previously, she was a Senior Editor who booked stars for exclusives and edited “Hot Pics,” the most popular section of the magazine.
Prior to Us, Lisa was a Segment Producer with Good Morning America, where she booked breaking news stories for the weekend edition. She received an Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award for her coverage of the death of Pope John Paul II.
From 2002 to 2004, Lisa was Director, Media Relations, for ABC News, where she oversaw communications for Good Morning America, 20/20, Primetime Thursday, ABC News ratings and specials. Before that, Lisa represented GMA as the show’s publicist.
Lisa joined ABC after a career in politics. She was Communications Director for Sen. Ron Wyden (D. – OR). Lisa was Press Secretary for Rep. Walter Capps (D. – Santa Barbara) until his death and ran press for Rep. Lois Capps in her victorious special election. She also worked for former Sen. Bill Bradley (D. – NJ).
Lisa graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec with a B.A. in Political Science. She resides in Burlingame with her husband, their two daughters and feisty wheaten terrier.
