INTERNSHIPS - fall 2017

Project Glimmer seeks talented interns who crave a challenge and aren't afraid to tackle big projects.  Are you interested in gaining experience in nonprofit marketing, communications and fundraising?  Are you passionate about being part of a movement to inspire teenage girls and women to believe in themselves? If so, we want you!

  • Create thought-provoking and creative content for our communications assets including press, website, social channels and influencers
  • Help develop and implement online and grassroots campaigns and development of marketing collateral pieces
  • Assist with event management and volunteer coordination for our annual Pre-Holiday Luncheon on 11/7 and Volunteer Boxing Joy events
  • Conduct and compile research and participation in brainstorms as needed
  • Assist with holiday giving at our warehouse in the Dogpatch

Requirements

  • Know social media inside and out: Facebook and Instagram
  • Desire to tackle your day with optimism and creativity
  • Strong writing skills (we invite you to send us a writing sample!)
  • Ability to quickly process and execute new ideas with accuracy
  • Ability to work independently within a small organization
  • Familiarity with Photoshop and social media analytics apps a plus

  • Desired - Adobe Photoshop, Buffer, Cision

2-3 intern positions available Fall 2017

  • Estimated time: 10-20 hours a week
  • Internship available for academic credit
  • Open to undergraduate, graduate and recently graduated students
