INTERNSHIPS - FALL 2018

MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS INTERN:

Project Glimmer seeks talented interns who crave a challenge and aren't afraid to tackle big projects.  Are you interested in gaining experience in nonprofit marketing, communications and fundraising?  Are you passionate about being part of a movement to inspire teenage girls and women to believe in themselves? If so, we want you!

  • Create thought-provoking and creative content for our communications assets including press, website and influencers
  • Assist with planning Days of Empowerment in key markets, event management and volunteer events
  • Conduct and compile research and participation in brainstorms as needed
  • Support holiday gift giving season at our warehouse

Requirements

  • Strong writing skills (we invite you to send us a writing sample!)
  • Ability to quickly process and execute new ideas with accuracy; work independently within a small organization
  • Estimated time: 8-10 hours a week; internship is for academic credit but is dependent on school requirements

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN:

Project Glimmer seeks a talented social media intern with a passion for social data, insights on how to engage with followers and being part of a movement to inspire teenage girls and women to believe in themselves!

  • Day-to-day management and growth of our social media presence; create engaging content in alignment with brand voice and audience objectives.
  • Monitor analytics to identify viable ideas
  • Conduct and compile research and participation in brainstorms as needed
  • Support holiday gift giving season at our warehouseAssist with gift giving and capture content at weekly volunteer events at our warehouse

Requirements

  • Know Facebook & Instagram inside and out
  • Ability to quickly process and execute new ideas with accuracy; work independently within a small organization
  • Familiarity with Photoshop, Buffer and social media analytics apps a plus
  • Estimated time: 8-10 hours a week; internship is for academic credit but is dependent on school requirements
